DIY Ice Cream Sandwiches
DIY Ice Cream Sandwiches? Yes, please!
These are super easy and waaaaaay tastier than the premade, store-bought ones. Wow your guests with this easy and delish dessert!
You’ll need:
your favorite cookie recipe
at least 1 pint of Third Bowl Ice Cream
plastic wrap
cookie sheet or freezer bags
DIY Ice Cream Sandwich Directions:
Make your favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe. Don’t have a favorite? We love this one from Sally’s Baking Recipes. Be sure to leave enough time for the cookies to cool properly!
You’ll need about ⅓ cup of Third Bowl Vanilla Ice Cream, depending on the size of your cookies.
Tip: Leave your ice cream out for just a few minutes before scooping, as it’ll soften up nicely and spread more easily.
Simply place the ice cream between two cookies and gently press. Adjust the amount of ice cream needed, being sure that it spreads to the edge of the cookie without spilling out.
You can serve immediately or wrap each ice cream sandwich individually in plastic wrap, place on a tray or in a freezer bag, and freeze until needed.
